Our client is a Global Leader in Consulting Engineering with a reputation for innovation in design and project delivery.

With a new 5 year strategic plan they have created an opportunity for an Associate Director (Electrical) with a Business Development focus.

As an Associate Director responsibilities include making a significant impact on sales, profitability and management of work and people across the region and their business line. Associate Directors bring together business, commercial and technical skills, constantly balancing risk and opportunity in those areas to achieve the value and reward our employees and our clients seek from us

Reporting to the Director of the Buildings Group the role will be located in Melbourne and you will be the Senior Electrical Design Engineer. With responsibility for Business Development, balanced with Technical Leadership you will leverage your strong networks and industry relationships to drive divisional growth.

You will be backed by a Global organisation with the resources & motivation to secure and deliver outstanding projects. At your disposal will be a highly regarded team of engineering professionals hungry for continued success.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will have significant experience in Building Services, with project management and bidding expertise.

You will possess the following competencies and attributes:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• Business/Commerce qualifications are desirable.
• High level of Technical Competence
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Team leadership and mentoring skills
• An understanding of specialist engineering requirements related to large scale projects in the Built Environment including Power, Lighting, Security & ICT

Key Responsibilities will include:

• ‘Grow the Business’ - Development of Commercial Opportunities through a mixture of existing and new clients and relationships.
• ‘Face of the Business’ – Represent the Organisation at presentations & stakeholder meetings. Leverage and enhance your networks.
• 'Secure the Business’ - Direct, prepare and coordinate Tender Submissions & Bids. Negotiate Tender outcomes to secure project wins.
• ‘Deliver the Business’ - Technical input to key projects in the port folio. A seat at the table of the Technical Delivery Committee to ensure what has been promised is delivered to the client profitably.
